Hi All,
I figured, what good is a Music and Media site unless you can post music
and media ;-)

So, I installed the Gallery package for SMF.

You may post pictures, videos audio .. but please .. no copyrighted
material that you do not have the rights to.

Thanks!
jeff
ps: Since this is a new package for me, please let me know if there are any
problems.

pps: ... to access it, look up where the "Home" bar is .. a look right .. between
"My Messages" and "Members" you should see "Gallery"

Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.

It's a permissions thing. I'm working on it.

Edit: You should all have access to it now.
If you work for a living, why do you kill youself working?

So, how do you add photos? I was gonna throw in a few Hana pictures. Do I have to upload them to another photo host first?

ghijkmnop

Create a new User album, and fill out the description stuff.

Then click on "My Albums" at the upper right.

Click on the name of the album, and then you'll be presented with the option to upload your photos.

I'm not speaking for our host, but I think things would be best served by keeping photos below 500KB.

That's what I thought, also... but does any 7MB camera make pictures that small?

jeff

We have 300gig of disk space .. so I don't mind if they're a couple of meg or so.

Not any more ;)

Supposedly, the media gallery software will resize the images if they're
too large. How well it does this, I don't know...

I really like it-- it's cool that you implemented it.

Jeebus, I hate it already... can only upload one item at a time, and I can't delete my album.

Not up to relearning computing today.
